This intro to sustainable thinking workshop is designed to connect us to our immediate environment through a sustainable lens.
Through group discussion, we will define the word "Sustainable", share our own current sustainable triumphs and guilty feelings, team problem solve those guilts, and brainstorm regular, simple ways of living a more sustainable life. Moderation will focus on noticing opportunities to make a sustainable choice, empowering the efforts of those choices, and introducing factors that contribute to a more or less sustainable option. We will introduce the concept of circular economy, and speak to the importance of small actions and their effect on mass, conscious consumerism and valuing your dollar as a vote, and optimism.
There is every opportunity for question asking, and all workshops are tailored on the fly to meet the group's level of expertise.

This sustainable communications workshop focuses on the social implications of shifting the way you interact with your environment. This workshop will build on the assumption that we are already seeing some success in our journey to a lower waste/more sustainable lifestyle.
We will begin by sharing where we are at in our own sustainable journeys, noticing ways our actions may have impacted the world around us over time, and frustrating barriers we may have run into. We will discuss the value of communication and visibility of sustainable habits, and asking questions. We will discuss sharing your successes and taking responsibility for your own choices first.
There is every opportunity for question asking, and all workshops are tailored on the fly to meet the group's level of expertise.
This sustainable actions workshop builds on an understanding of sustainable decision making to focus on developing your sustainable practice.
We will begin by agreeing on a definition of the word "Sustainable" as a group, sharing our own most recent sustainable triumphs and guilty feelings, and brainstorm our favourite sustainable life hacks. We will discuss the four pillars of balancing personal sustainability. We will discuss recycling, debunk a few recycling myths, learn where various items can be recycled, and discuss the dollar value of different materials. We will discuss practical ways of changing habits, and making your dollar vote count. Moderation will draw attention to compounding effects, the need for your changes to be sustainable for you as an individual, and viewing sustainable living as a journey.
